It’s been a while since I released the last Australian Beasts story, but I like to think I have a good excuse. The reason for the hiatus is I have just polished off the first draft of a novel, tentatively titled Roper Jones and the Killer Koalas. As you can tell, it will certainly fit in with the current collection nicely.
As that story needs a little time to gestate in my bottom drawer before it suffers the brutality a fresh-eyed second edit, I thought I would return my attention to these other tales which have been neglected for a little too long.
Fresh from a professional proofread, “Prufrock vs the Shark” is now available via your Amazon Kindle app/device for the cheapest possible price depending on the country you’re in (99 cents, 99 pence, or a mere 49 rupees if you’re in India!).
Even better than that, you can get it for free if you’re a Kindle Unlimited subscriber!
It’s my take on the T.S. Eliot poem “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock”, but with a modern Australian twist (hence the shark). Don’t worry, you don’t have to have read the original poem to appreciate it, and I’ve kept it pretty accessible. It’s also relatively compact as far as stories go, so should suit the daily commute nicely.
I hope you like it and, as usual, don’t forget to leave a review!
